Listen Here: Apple | Spotify
My guest today is Dr. David Grew. David is a radiation oncologist. He is a graduate of the Tulane School of Medicine, and he completed his residency at the NYU School of Medicine where he served as chief resident and was named Resident of the Year in 2015. David is also founder of an app called PRIMR, a web application where doctors can provide patients with digitally recorded, personalized explanations about their medical conditions and treatments.
In this episode, David and I discussed making friends on Twitter. David explained the long and arduous process of becoming a doctor. We talked about David's app, PRIMR, and we discussed the challenges involved with building a SaaS product as a non-technical founder. David also shared his experience with On Deck Founder's Fellowship and Jack Butcher's course, Build Once, Sell Twice.

"If you take your medical knowledge and convert it into a digital asset, there's enormous compounding returns, not just in the time you would save but also the compounding returns of diversifying your creativity and your mind. Doctor burnout is an enormous problem. If you start doing content creation, the issue of burnout starts to fade away because you have this new outlet for your knowledge that's very creative and very rewarding in a way doctors haven't quite experienced before."
